We made a reservation and preordered the Peking duck. When we got there we decided to get the caviar add-on and it was well worth it!! Still thinking about the duck skin and caviar pairing as I write this!! Although the staff didn't tell us how to eat the caviar with the duck until we asked...and by that time we had already thoroughly enjoyed all of the duck skin plate. We decided to just take the skin off the meat pieces and it definitely didn't disappoint. We tried the caviar with meat and skin also but we all thought it was better with just the skin. The green beans were really good. I would order that dish again! The fried rice was just okay...not bad but nothing to rave about.
Loved the roast Beijing duck here, comparing to Mr. Chow, Mott 32 always makes the stir fry duck bones which are mouthwatering and great to pair with beers. But not gonna sugar coat it, the other food quality did drop in the past years. Still beautiful presentation but lack of the flavors now.
We've been wanting to try this place after hearing rave reviews. Thanks to our good friend Kalani for making it happen on a busy weekend when we weren't sure on snagging a res . Ambiance of the place is wild. At first glance it seems very lowkey due to the dim lighting. Once you enter you really appreciate the different rooms and themes. Love the staggered dining area past the bar and the little nook booth seating and more private rooms. Super dope vibe inside and great attention to detail all around. Drinks: we went with the penicillin and a jade apple. Both were perfect and the jade super refreshing. Started to slam tsingtaos after the 2nd one to avoid getting too buzzed to enjoy the meal lol. Food: waaaaay better than we expected. The highlight was clearly the Peking duck Mott 32 cut carved table side. Crispy skin with perfect roast flavor. Thank goodness they still had one available for us. Marinated cucumber and garlic: great start and super refreshing. Reminded me a lot of dtf. Hot and sour soup: great flavor and start to the meal. Charcoal pork buns: look super cool with a crispy sweet bun and tasty pork withing...like a crunchy black sio pao. Braised eggplant: imagine the best one you had but better with the addition of the minced pork and chili. Yeung chow: again probably the best we've. The addition of the roe gives each bite and nice crunch and flavor. To say we're not going back the next time we're in town is a straight lie. We really want to make it a point to try literally everything on the menu given how well everything was executed.
It's rare that I give a five star review, as I consider myself a foodie and don't normally care for Chinese cuisine. However Mott32 was exquisite. Beautiful restaurant, and fantastic food. I dare say the best Peking Duck I've ever had! The fried rice, soup dumplings, pork dishes were also superb. Though Chinese restaurants are not known for their desserts, the Coconut ice cream with honeycomb and berries was one of the best desserts I've ever had. Almost worth a trip to 'Vegas just to eat here! Definitely Michelin Star quality all around. Can't wait to go back! Price was extremely reasonable given the quality.
You need to try the Peking duck here - it's what they're known for. Tried many different appetizers and entrees and none disappointed. Soft quail egg siu mai was good. The general tso's chicken was incredibly tender - people couldn't believe it was chicken as everyone thought it was fish! My favorite drink was the secrets of xi'an.
This place is unreal... I want to move next door... I never would have expected it could somehow be even better than it was when I came last year, but they've added SO many new vegan dishes to their menu and it was such a lovely, unexpected surprise. I felt like a kid at Christmas. Thank you to the amazing team at Mott for incorporating all of these new dishes, even though it wouldn't have been a priority for any other place this successful. I'll be singing their praises until I'm old and senile! Highly recommend all of the vegan XLB (scarily indistinguishable from pork, super rich and flavorful broth-- was wondering what it could have been made with to be so savory and aromatic), vegan beef noodles (also tasted exactly like beef), and vegan la zi ji (deep fried pieces of soft tofu, not too spicy but perfectly mala). If I had to request one more vegan dish, it would be a meat free version of the sugar coated pork buns. Please, please. I don't care what's inside. I'd totally order it even without filling. :) Our server (didn't get her name) was a lovely and super funny Chinese lady with short cropped hair who really went above and beyond for us. I don't like cilantro and she double checked like a thousand times for me that nothing would have it, it was adorable and totally extra lol. Thank you to Mott 32 and our wonderful server for an unforgettable night of amazing eats.
Food, service, and atmosphere deserve 5 stars!! This is truly an amazing dining experience, with an impressive menu and beautiful interior, Not only is the food presented magnificently, but it tastes just as good. One of the best dining experiences I've had the pleasure of having and I am so excited for Mott 32 to open a location in Phoenix! Definitely am excited to visit the new location and try more things on the menu!
Mott 32 was recommended to us by a bartender that we had met in San Diego... I ended up having to venture this bar alone, but made the most of it. I asked for a Lychee Martini with Gin, it was yummy. I also ordered the Hot and Sour soup dumplings ($14) they were really good & the Flat Rice Noodles with Beef ($28) - also very delicious. Both were enough for a hungry individual, and that was me :) I knocked a star just because I was hoping for more cocktail options. My Gin request wasn't on the menu. I appreciate specialty cocktails and have found a new love for gin. It wasn't crowded, but as always - it's Vegas, reservations are always recommended to ensure a seat. I parked it at the bar since I was solo.
Feb 2024. Happy New Year! Mott 32 is the real deal. Their Peking Duck is damn good. Crispy skin and tender flavorful meat. The skins are paper thin. Food is exceptional. Service is 5 stars. Our server Danny is warm professional and checks in on us with the right balance of attentiveness. Super cool attitude and knowledgeable about the dishes and Fantastic with recommendations. Ambience is also 5 stars. Asian modern/nightclub atmosphere. Perfect for Vegas. My go to spot for the best Chinese cuisine in Vegas. Cheers!
